Ottumwa Regional Health Center's gift
shop, "Occasions!" is not your typical hospital
gift shop "We are striving to be not only a place
where you can go to buy get well cards and stuffed animals,
but a full-range gift shop," stated Occasions!
Gift Shop Manager Beverly Molkenthin.
Occasions! Gift Shop at Ottumwa Regional
is  stocked
with gifts for patients, friends and family of all ages.
"We have a huge selection of newborn baby clothing,
toys and gifts. We carry games, toys, puzzles, and coloring
books for older children too. There is a large selection
of magazines and greetings cards," said Olson.
The gift shop is a favorite of employees of ORHC, who
often come in and browse on their coffee or lunch breaks.
"We had a helium tank installed and
have a large selection of Mylar balloons for kids, new
moms, and all other patients that may visit the health
center.
A whole section behind the checkout desk
is stocked with sundries such as umbrellas, pantyhose,
batteries, deodorant, film, etc. And we always carry
a variety of collectibles, silk flowers, and gardening
gifts," said Olson.
Friends and family members of Ottumwa
Regional Health Center guests can call in orders to
the gift shop to have gifts, flowers, cards and/or balloons
paid for by credit card and delivered to patients staying
at the health center by calling Occasions! Gift Shop

"We are very excited about our new
and improved gift shop and we encourage the public to
come in and see it," said Olson.
