Home Care

Ottumwa Regional Home Care offers quality home health care to residents in our Iowa ten-county area: Appanoose, Davis, Jefferson, Keokuk, Mahaska, eastern Marion, Monroe, Van Buren, Wapello and western Washington.

We are Medicare certified and will help you in seeking reimbursement for your home health care services from Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers. We are certified to provide services to clients who qualify for Frail and Elderly, ill and handicapped, AIDS-HIV, HCBS-MR, and brain injury waivers.

The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) accredited services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with office hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Pediatric Home Care

Cardiac Home Care

Ottumwa Regional Home Care provides cardiac-trained Registered Nurses to enable you to modify the risks by changing behaviors that cause heart disease:

  • Cardiac assessment services

Private Duty Registered Nurse

We offer Registered Nurse private duty nursing with designated hours needed, not covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or Private Insurance. Skilled needs could include, but are not limited to, the following services:

  • General Assessment
  • Medication setup and/or administration
  • Injections
  • Laboratory Specimen Collection
  • Dressing Changes
  • Safety Assessment
  • Nutritional Assessment
  • Educational Instruction


Private Duty Home Health Aide/Certified Nurse Aide

Our Certified Home Health Aides or Certified Nurse Aides are supervised by our Registered Nurses who set up a plan of care. Duties could include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with personal cares
  • Light housekeeping
  • Meal preparation
  • Medication reminding
  • Security Checks
